How much is dipping where you live?

well i asked around here (Vancouver) and was basically told $5000 for both sets of acid dips (1 to strip and clean, then another after metal work to de-rust and seal). the biggest portion of the cost is the toxic disposal fees.

how much is it where you live? i was thinking of taking my car on  road trip to get it dipped.

I can't remember the exact price but I think my car cost about $650 to have dipped a few years ago, that was the body, doors, hood, fenders, trunk lid-the whole deal.

I'm sure it wouldn't be much more than $1000 or so now....

thanks, but the prices here have doubled since 2006. used to be that cheap here too.

is there a place in washington state that does it?

I had my complete shell and all panels, doors, hood, decklid, fenders etc dipped for around $1200 last year.
