I'm also glad you're not hurt.  Scary, especially when you're not driving.           


   

A few months ago I actually saw two cars crashing hard from just 20-25 feet away. 


The inflation speed of the airbag in the striking car was incredible.   

If you were watching it on normal 24 frames/sec film, the airbag would literally go from nothing in one frame to 100% inflated in the next.  Not even a single frame of blurred inflation between the two.   

The deflation afterwards was almost as quick.  The whole thing would have barely filled up 4-5 frames on that film, from before inflation to after deflation.  It's literally the blink of an eye.

Thanks for the well wished. The owners of the car took pictures of it today and I should have them e-mailed to me sometime. The car was totaled and 1/3 of the front wheel is missing.
