I have read off and on the last year about not using the new oils in the older cars.  I am due to change the oil in my 68 Charger R/T with a stock 440.  What oil is recommended these days?  Thanks

Thanks for the thread.  So I would assume that I should be able to use Castrol Syntec 20W50?  It appears to have the highest Zinc added.   I have a totally stock 440 in a 68 Charger R/T.

I think you mean Penzoil GT 20-50 Racing Oil :shruggy:

It can't hurt to run  GM Engine oil supplement (EOS), Comp Cams break in or ZZDP, no matter which oil you have chosen..

I think the GM one would be the easiest to obtain.

I use Valvoline Zr1 Racing oil 20/50 or 10/40 with the zink in it.  I get it at a local auto parts store.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
