I just came back from an interview with Ernst & Young - Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services about a possible placement there and they have said that they don't see any problems. It still needs to be approved by another senior partner, but they told me I shouldn't be too worried. Which is really good news, because that would basically make me the first person to do a placement at E&Y in his 3rd year.

I was pretty nervous when I got there, but the interview went great and it was actually pretty comfortable. They gave me some good tips on what to read into and stuff.

E&Y is one of the most prestiges accounting firms here and even though I had some help getting, I'm really stoked that I was able to come this far. Even if they don't come through, I had the taste of what the real world looks like, I love it.

My job there would be to basically do the background checking on numbers, etc. A basic accounting job, but the benefits are endless. E&Y on my c.v., connections, etc.

Just wanted to share, this is my first step towards my real career.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
