Hello, I'm new to the world of Dodge Chargers, but absolutely LOVE THEM!!

I'm looking into buying one, and found some on the internet
I've learned that there can be fakes or like R/T clones "A.K.A. Knock Offs!!"
Which doesn't bother me much, as long as it's VERY VERY close to a true factory R/T, very good clone, not just stickers.

But, I know there is a way to Decode a VIN Tag, but I have no clue how to, or where I can find a place on the net to help show me how...

Can someone please help me? I would appreciate the help so much!

Thank You!!

No probs :2thumbs:

Yes, I have seen good deals on here

Ebay..you have to be careful, alot of people have been screwed over on there when buying a Charger (such as it arriving in different condition then what was described in the auction discription). Make sure you DEFINTLEY stay away from a place called 'HLPAG'. They have screwed over a few members on here. They sell General Lee cloned '68, '69 and '70s that are all bondoed up. They are bad news. :Twocents:

okay, I'm really sorry I keep on having questions... But you don't know unless you ask.

I got how to decode the VIN TAG, how do you match the engine numbers to the car?

based on the year, you will find the vin or sequence numberstamped on the lower passenger side of the block right above the oil pan for a big block, not sure on a small block though.
67 Plymouth Barracuda, 69 Plymouth Barracuda, 73 Charger SE, 75 D100, 80 Sno-Commander

That's cool, I'm looking for 1970 R/T, I've been out a couple of times and seen a few that were big blocks which is what I want, so...

Because I'm gonna be looking into some I've found interest in, and I wanna check and make sure there numbers matching.

You will probably need to crawl under the car to see it.  It is double outlined on the photo below.
