Pics of a car show I ran across

I went camping in Eastern Oregon near my home town and it just so happens we were there during the town's big annual car show which was a real bonus. Unfortunately my youngest daughter was sick so I only had about 15 minutes to run down main street shooting pictures before we took her to the doctor. That was a bummer. Anyway, enjoy...

One heck of a combination! Lambos and Challengers. Wish I could have seen it.

:2thumbs: The orange Challenger down below belonged to my friend who, as some of you may recall, died a year ago last February. It had already been given to his youngest son by then who's sitting in the chair next to it. Sadly the '71 340 Cuda he gave to his older son got sold. Even with rust, bad paint and a dead engine he still got over $30k for it. I'd think I'd still rather have the car.

Last of them. Like I said I only had about 15 minutes. :'( I'm not sure but I think this red Roadrunner below belongs to one of our members here from Oregon or Idaho. It has Oregon plates so it may not be the one I'm thinking of. :shruggy:

That challenger has had some tender loving care over the years. I have never seen one in that shade of orange before. Hope it stays in that condition for many years to come! :coolgleamA:

Yea, if I could fault my old friend for anything regarding the care of his muscle cars it was that he didn't drive them enough. He babied them so much that they wore out from lack of use. I think both the Challenger and the Cuda he had were both repainted before he bought them and I remember that the Cuda was originally plumb crazy but a previous owner had painted it red. I tried for years to get him to put it back to it's original color but he never got around to it. I don't think the Challenger is the correct orange either but it really pops whatever shade it is. It's in really good shape. His wife still has his old '66 Charger in storage but it needs work now too.
