what is most lift for stock rockers??

what is the biggest lift cam you can go with without adjustable rockers??   on a 440

think i could get away with a 494/513?

nope, i believe stockers are good up to at least .490-.495 but after that, you are teasing with coil bind.

edit---  it also matters on what springs are mounted on the heads too!

Crash, Is the cam you are talking about the voodoo cam. I have that cam in my motor right now, runs strong. I used the spring that they recomended for the cam! All the information is located at the summitracing. My 440 motor is out of a 75 motorhome. I put 516 heads on, and swapped out the cam and put a 3 bolt timing chain. I DO NOT have adjustable rockers, just the old stockers. You will have to check your valve to piston clearance! And make sure you check your valve guides and valve spring retainers. They could smash into one another. Mine dont, so your shouldn't, but check anyhow>! Good luck
