Hey there-     Been a loooong time since I've had any real time to work on the Charger and hang out on the board.   I've been trying to get some things finished up around the house and I'm finishing up classes and student teaching.  Anyhoo, I'm back in it and trying to find out more about my car.  Its a Mr. Norms car and I've looked at their website a bit.  After considering it for a while I finally joined the Mr. Norms club.  Just wondering who else might be in the club and if anyones got a good place to find more info on the history of the Mr. Norms cars.  I know that there was a big fire sometime in late 68 or early 69 that took care of most of the records.  I've got copies of all titles back to the original owner.  Whats interesting is that it was built as a "sold" car on 4/24/68, but wasn't actually sold until 2/15/69.  That means it speant about 10 months sitting in the Grand Spaulding showroom.  Any ideas why this would have happened?  I can't imagine they would have had a hard time selling it if the original purchaser backed out of the deal.  Its a red 68' R/T 4-speed with no vinyl top, black interior and white stripes.  I don't know if being sold in February of 69' would make it any more possible that there might be paperwork on it somewhere.  Any info on the club or the dealership in general would be great.  Thanks guys, Tipopiola :icon_smile_big:

Nice to see you back.

I have also seen their web site and found it very informative.

Sorry I can't offer any help.  Good luck.

I've got some really nice pics of what it SHOULD look like.   Unfortunately at this point its original PP1 red paint is more of a rusty faded pink color :rotz:   I know that on the old board we had an abandoned cars section and somebody had already posted pics of it under a blue tarp in the guys yard that I bought it from.   Its come a long ways, but its by no means beautiful just yet.   Tipopiola :icon_smile_big:

Hey Paul, if you get a chance call me quick.  If it works for you, Wednesday would be better, unless you want to be at my place around 10:00.  I'm up in St. Cloud all day trying to get together with some other people to prepare a huge project that we have to present tomorrow.  We haven't even started it yet and they asked if I could wait around here for em'. Usually I'm home by noon on Mondays, but today is gonna kind of suck.  Let me know, Tipopiola :icon_smile_big:

Thats cool, I just tried to call and got your voice mail.   It was kind of a last minute thing and trust me, I'd much rather be hanging out in my garage than sitting here at school ALL day.   I'll be home early on Wednesday so let me know what time.   I've got the decklid, tail lights, and crusty fenders pulled out of the shed if you want to take a peek at em'.   BTW, what would I need to do to end up with your job?   They send you on trips and when you actually are at work you just hang out on dodgecharger.com?   Are they hiring?! :icon_smile_big:   Later, Chris

It just so happens I don't know a thing about refineries and power plants so I guess I'll just have to continue getting by with just my good looks and my wifes money! :icon_smile_big:  Tipopiola

Uh, yeah right....  i hope you stay married...

Back to the subject....  69HEMI's car was from Mr. Norms, so you could give him a call.  i have his number at home somewhere, i'll bring it with me.  And MsMopar's car was from there also.  I dont have her number but i do have her e-mail, i'll dig that up also.  I know she went down to where the dealership was and asked around town in the bars and businesses once to see if anyone knew about her car..

Yeah, no kidding, I hope she keeps me around for a while. :icon_smile_big:   Just figured I'd give this a little bump and see if theres anybody out there with Mr Norms or Grand Spaulding info?   I'd really love to find some more resources and find out as much as I can about the history of my R/T.   Thanks again, Tipopiola :icon_smile_big:
