Will we see recent flood cars springing up for sale?

Hope no one here lost a car in the recent flooding, storms,  and fires going across the nation but after seeing a number of cars from Katrina pop up all over the country, do ya think that there were many classics falling victim?  I imagine those with advance notice could have moved them in time. Where do the insured losses get taken to if they're not bought back? Other than looking for water damage in person, how would you know about a recorded loss/claim since cars that old are not listed in a data base for carfax etc.? Just curious as I haven't seen any comments about it yet and I would be willing to bet that there will be some after a while on ebay etc. that had been under water and cleaned up.

Makes me wonder????????????  I have a cousin in Indiana and there are three 69 Charger's and a 70 Challenger on his street.
He lives in a neighborhood of car guy's with a bunch of classic tin.  I talked to him today and he said his whole neighborhood is under ten feet of water.  Unfortunately he didn't have time to get his 70 Challenger out of the garage and it's still there under ten feet of water.  I fell so bad for him.

At least it's fresh water so the rust won't be like Katrina sea water & so maybe just the wiring & carpet, etc. will need to be replaced.
"Let me explain something to you, um i am not Mr. Lebowski, you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me. That or his dudeness, or duder, or you know, el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."
