NYC Guys-I need driving help

travelling from Conn. to Jersey City. Should we take the Jersey Interstates (with several tolls) or Palisades Interstate Parkway. We are interested in congestion/travel time and tolls. We can take a little more time to avoid multiple tolls. Late afternoon on Saturday....June 21st.
