my 383 has 0 miles on it  yet we broke it in about a week ago been fighting a to rich condition well fixed a few things seemed to help a little but i checked oil tonight and im finding that the oil is fine and  clean but under the oil on the stick is a white film i mean pure white could this be the assembly lube or does this look more like a blown head gasket already !!! how do i check for a bad  head gasket besides pulling the whole top end apart again ?

Dump the oil and filter and replace with fresh lube. Use a good oil and an additive for the flat tappet cam (EOS or ZZDP plus) and Napa "Gold" for the filter. 

The assembly lube and small bearing material particles are floating around in your oil and you need to purge it asap.
