my 383 has 0 miles on it  yet we broke it in about a week ago been fighting a to rich condition well fixed a few things seemed to help a little but i checked oil tonight and im finding that the oil is fine and  clean but under the oil on the stick is a white film i mean pure white could this be the assembly lube or does this look more like a blown head gasket already !!! how do i check for a bad  head gasket besides pulling the whole top end apart again ?

Dump the oil and filter and replace with fresh lube. Use a good oil and an additive for the flat tappet cam (EOS or ZZDP plus) and Napa "Gold" for the filter.  :yesnod:

The assembly lube and small bearing material particles are floating around in your oil and you need to purge it asap.  :Twocents:
