There's a '69 R/T SE project car on Ebay right now. This one caught my attention.

The seller decoded the fender tag and came out with this.

-The car was originally Y2 yellow
-Had green interior
-Had a green vinyl top

Thats a REALLY weird combo...did they actually make combos like this?

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

In the day it wasn't THAT unusual of a combination.  Green tops and interiors were often used with yellow, beige, and gold metallic paint.

Cody, there are some really good links and info out there like this one:

http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/colorAndTrim/1969/69_Charger0003.jpg

Green and yellow was a recommended combination.

Cody, there was a day when you could actually have a choice of colors, interiors, tops and other options unlike today when your options are limited. People would go to the dealer and actually sit down to order a specific car rather than shopping a mega lot to see what was there. Most dealers did not carry that many cars in stock and on the lot.

Look at the chart and see how many different combinations of 69 Charger colors and trims were offered by the factory. Then consider you probably could have any combination on that chart if you were brave enough. Multiply each of those combinations by two for stripe or stripe delete. Multiply all of those by all other options like engines, trannys, etc, and etc.

When you think about all the possible combinations that could come on a car, it's not a wonder a car is 'one of one', it's a wonder you can find two cars alike.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Y2 yellow is nice.   :yesnod:   Especially with redline tires!  :2thumbs:  If done properly ...the Y2 yellow cars get a lot of attention  :Twocents: :Twocents:

I'll tell you one that seemed a bit odd to me. A4 silver with Blue interior. Or y4 gold with green interior, and a black  tail stripe. One car is a 500 the other is a Daytona.

My buddy bought a '69 Bee from the Portland Swap Meet.  I checked out the tag, 'twas a f8 exterior and b5 interior 4 gear bulge hood car.

He stopped by North American Muscle Cars with it and Galen was there and told him there was no such combo built.  James took him out to the car and Galen couldn't get his camera out quick enough.  I asked James if he charged GG for adding a "no such combo" to his Registry.  I found it odd GG would make such a claim knowing full well never say never with Mopar.  James was told by some locals that there were at least three of them built years ago for some local business.  :o

He repainted it about 5 years ago and I couldn't talk him into going back original.  He shot it Viper Red.  It was the only non Charger at the 1st .com Charger meet in Kent.

I remember hearing about that Superbee before, that is just plain cool! That's about the most rad I've heard of.

I remember a Superbee that was copper with a red stripe, which I thought was weird.

Also, the 70 RT Challengers with the green stripes are pretty odd.

There's a guy I know with a 70 Challenger RT for sale that is a triple blue car. Blue on blue with a blue stripe.

Iv'e seen Y2 with green int. on a couple of casr, but the strangest I've seen has to be B5 with red int and a red stripe in a 69 Bee.
