'70 tail lights..  :shruggy:

Not to mention a '70 VIN as well.

80K for a 318 '70 Charger is a little out of my realm. What's the criteria with '70 "clones" anyway?... Give it a nose and plug, but leave the '70 interior?

maybe paint the tail light panel correctly.

Could be a typo, but I do agree, it's a lot of money for a clone (albiet a nice one).  If the nose and wing were originals, and it had a '69 interior, then...  :2thumbs:

They will get close to their price = I say 60,000.00 and it is sold. The little issues are no biggie and easily changed if preferred. The 70 interior is just a better ride and the 70 SE interior is just classy. Like a Daytona owner told me - "stick with 70 seats they are just better for driving". That is why I made my seats as if Dodge would have made a high back in 69 - so mine have 69 looking inserts yet with a 70 seat.

This is a very nice car and they may get the 75K they are asking because the facts are – there are not that many clones out there that are done like this one.

My only criticism is the engine bay. They say the engine is fresh but the engine bay looks tired.

One more thing - "IF" that has a fiberglass rear plug - I would never buy it because that would need to be replaced.

I know three real daytona owners that runn 70 hibacks for comfort . I personllly like the 69 seats for my clone the are comfy to me.
GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

It's nice seeing a 'properly' done clone with a rear plug at least, but with the 70 interior, tailights, marker lights and custom guages and steering wheel it's still too much of a car that was done for someone's own particular taste. To go through all that work, and not do it 'correctly', you might as well plan on keeping the car for a very long time, rather than trying sell/flip it. There's nothing wrong with doing it to your own taste, but obviously no one else is going to like it exactly the way you do. I do prefer the 70 buckets by far though...

The price? Way, way off..... :Twocents:

i agree it's nice, but with the market the way it is, the asking price should be $50k OBO.. meaning hope someone even has $45k expendible cash to spend on one right now

I agree it won't go for more than $45K......nice car, but really only worth the sum of the parts cost plus a small % of the labor to assemble it all. that's what I have observed anyway. Especially now when the market is down...

I don't think it's even worth 45. The market is down, gas is still going up, the days of getting paid for your 'labour' are long gone and a 70 Charger, a nose, a wing and a paint job does not equal $45K. I don't want anyone losing their shirt, and hopefully the guy who built it isn't, but what do you do?
