Ok 50 k on  resto , 25 k profit .That car was all there , not hunting down parts , after it still wears 39 year old plug wires ! I should have bought the thing if I knew I could have made 175 K profit in it after tear down , rust repair , fix crunched nose and paint , oh well I missed out !

Daytonalo, you make it sound so easy.  Just curious, what shop does complete nut and bolt resto's on Daytona's for 50k.  Is it your shop?  Sounds like I should have got you to do it for me, you seem to know a lot more about how much work was involved in this car than I do.

Thanks Vicki that ones just sitts minutes from my house and I like them. They do have a wingcar pedigree the hood and trunk lid provided by creative industries .The guy had it since the 80s it sat so long the rings siezed and has no compression. I ve been there more than once left my number And wants to much for it in that state.So Im leaving my number on a 71 AG RR I found in the area.Nice to see your Hemi 500 getting back together.I know live in same town as AV  MR Hemi

Hey, if the price is right.......My problem is I see every car as a diamond in the rough. I need to be reminded that it takes at least $50,000 to restore on of these Diamonds nowadays.  I need to move on to my RT/SE after the finishing touches on the 500. I really don't want to do another rotisserie restoration but that's what it is going to need to do it right.    MsMopar

How close are you to finishing up your 500 then MsMopar? Is it going to be ready to go by show season this year? Or at Talladega in '09?
