Myself, along with member resq302 (Brian), had the honor of being nominated & attending this Concours de Elegance show this past Saturday, June 1st. It was held at the Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA.

There was a terrific turnout of very finely restored cars, beautiful setting, & awesome weather. I've had the pleasure of attending the Greenwich, CT show twice, & frankly this one blew it away. Complimentary breakfast & lunch, a golf cart "escort" for your car to it's specialized parking spot (complete with show plaque), & an all-day presentation parade where every car there was announced & described including history.

Brian & I were in a muscle car '60's - '70's class, where some really nice cars were presented.

Enjoy the pics...

1) Nice Duster 340.
2) Who let this guy in??  :D
3) Step AWAY from the vehicle & STOP cleaning already!!!  :smilielol:

A nice pair of Duesy's as well. The back of the black one was constructed of mahogany. Really beautiful.

There was also an off-'site show in another field for car clubs to attend & park their cars. A great selection of Mopars turned up!!  :2thumbs:
Enjoy!

Yup, that's an original unrestored Fury Gran Coupe with a PAISLEY top!!! I used to know the previous owner, really a great survivor car.

Hi Paul,
There were lots of Mopars, others included an Airflow, some 300's, etc.
Brian (resq302), myself with the '70 Charger, & the Duster were the only "muscle" Mopars. My friend with the '69 Coronet R/T convert was unable to attend, & there was an AAR Cuda that did not show up.

Bill,

In reply to your caption in the third pic down on your first post...... NEVER!  :nono: :buff: :paintingpink: :boogie:

Actually, you posted a lot of the pics I was going to post.  Just have not had a chance to down load them from my camera yet.  The green 70 Mustang Boss 302 had a slight problem during the parade of cars...... he ran out of gas in the line.  The other car that won the Bethlehem Star award was a 67 Pontiac GTO which had 90K miles and was being advertised as "Unrestored Original" car.  Kinda hard to believe but the guy aslo had 2 other cars at the show.  If anyone ever has a chance to attend these shows, the Concours d'Elegance is one of the best shows to attend for the best of the best.  They do not let just anyone in, you have to first be nominated and then from the selection of cars that were nominated, they select the top ones out of them to be invited.  The only way into this event is through an invitation.

Hats off to Bill and the other cars I was up against as there were some certainly nice rides there.  Absolutely the best of the best.  I can only compare this show to the Oscars and Emmys of any car show.  Pics to follow as soon as I get time to download.

The mopar group that was in the club section I think was the Mopar Madness club.
