I live in a residential area just outside the centre. We don't have too much crime besides theft and smaller issues.

For my job I had to go to the morgue (disinfection job) and I know the people there. They confirmed that the man was hold in his apartment; his kids locked up in their room, then they killed the guy, rolled him in a carpet and then dumped in the bushes in front of the house.
Sad but true , feel sorry for his family and kids. And yes he will be involved in some tricky business what would 've pissed off some of his clan members.

Man, hope my future Mopar will be safe in this neighborhood.

Sucks but your Mopar will probably be fine. Most of the times when it involves clans or drugs they are way to busy killing each other than to notice anybody else. Just a couple of weeks ago a guy got shot in his car right in front of my house. I really don't feel unsafe in the neighborhood, you just need to stay out of their world. I do feel sorry for the family members, but there are almost no cases that people get shot or killed for no reason at all (at least not in Europe). It's what they call karma.

Sounds like the guy was mixed up with the wrong people.

yea mixed up with the wrong people...

We can't keep guns in our houses like many of the Americans do.
