Ok so its been a while since ive been here but I'm gonna drive my car this year so I'm back 

Now Some of you know the situation with my engine (supposed to be 10:1 shopped messed up now its 8:1)  even with its low compression it still does a respectable 320-330 to the wheels. Cant find my old dyno sheets but it was around that

440 .30 over
292/501 comp cam (shitty cam)
edelbrock rpm heads cleaned up and a little bit of work done but nothing crazy
1.75 ceramic hooker headers
3 in exhast x pipe with dynomax ultraflows
750cfm carb w/ proform main body
mopar electronic ignition with crane box.
Street dom intake.

So the mess up came with the pistons. Only found out after yanking the heads and seeing they were below deck height. They are flattops. I think they are trw forged ones but I don't know how to confirm...

Was wondering what options do I have to get this up to 500 hp.  With the pistons I got would it be ok to go roots style?

Any other ways besides milling the heads to bump up the compression significantly? Dont really wana cut them...

Running reg gas is cool but I'd like to give it more umph Its a heavy car for only 330 at the wheels.

You could use those pistons in a blown engine if they are forged.  There are a lot of other variables like any engine but if your cr is 8:1 then that's okay.

anyway to confirm they are forged?

Is it easy  to swap pistons without yanking the engine? Prob a pain in the ass id imagine... It would almost be a complete rebuild...

Yes, a piston swap involves pulling the entire engine, removing the crankshaft, and all that that entails...
I suppose its possible to do it with the engine still in the car on ours... but why...

cause N/A engines are so much easier to tune and maintain...
Never worked on a forced induction engine

Vic, throw some new pistons in your motor.....get the compression UP !

Yeah, but if you are serious about a blower it isn't as easy as just bolting one on and away you go.  IF the pistons are okay, you are still looking at a cam swap as mentioned above, the tuning can be a hassle.  No money out on the tuning just a bit of a chase to get it right.  Blowers also make a lot of heat so you'll have to have a cooling system that is up to it.  By the time you are done, it will cost you a lot more in time, trouble and cash to go blown.

Yes the motor will need to come out. The 2355's weigh the same as the 2266's so the balance will be very close.

Well I might have to put this off a bit more since I had a accident with my jeep. Gotta get the daily driver fixed Might not be worth it though since the floors are starting to go... Have to see.

Just got a reply from http://www.thesuperchargerstore.com/products.html and their Big Block Street Stalker Kit is $6600.00 and includes a D-1SC ProCharger, ProFlow Surge System, Stage 1 Water Injection System, custom built blow through carburetor, MagnaFuel fuel pump and boost referenced fuel pressure regulator.

I don't know If Id want to go with water injection... Might be easier to just get an intercooler and plumb it in some where

Take it back to the place and get it fixed thats what you paid for right

it happened years ago cant now. It would just be a messy civil case that would prob get tossed because of the time frame
