Now, now, don't be dumping to much on vettes too much.  I happen to own one (70 Stingray), but I agree that most of the vette owners do have an attitude that their car is so much better than anything else when they are not.  Been thinking of puttin a /6 with the hyperpack in my vette for    at the car shows.  That would pretty much get me banned from Vette clubs though. .....

Hey now, don't be cloning the /6 Chargers, ya hear.     LOL, just kidding...  Still, not too shabby of an idea to do, as you can save wear and tare on your orginal engine for the big shows, plus you could still potentially blow away some of the ricers on the road if you built the /6 up a bit......

Very nice, I am sure it would be a runner with that setup.  Just wish my Charger came that way from the factory......

I still like the independent webbers (6 single bbl. carborators) that I have seen on an /6 Aussie Charger over at moparts.  It gave me ideas on a project that I want to build (not my C code car)......

NEVER NEVER Underestimate a 318!!! With the right mods they can have the juice! They will keep running when everything else blows up!
You can pass the big blocks when they are at the gas station!

I wouldn't worry about those guys. They are teasing you. Can you take a little teasing? I had a 70 Plum Crazy 340 4 spd duster years ago two guys at the bar use to tease me about. They would always say, "how's that little 340 running?" They use to say "there's no replacement for displacement". In the end they told me they really did like my car and were just trying to give me a bad time. They were always trying to buy it from me. (One guy owned a 440 Challenger and the other a '70 Bee original 383 car with a 440 in it).  They are teasing ya, let it go. If it really bugs ya that much, build a 440 and drop it in your car.Then it will be hard for them to say much at all to you. Nothing wrong with 318's.

If you were to be ashamed of having a 318... than, my opinions/thoughts...

A: Dont let Ego get the best of you (hey they got big motors i gotta have a faster 1)

B: You shouldnt have a charger if your ashamed of it


On the positive side...

Let the ricers go around with "whos faster is better" all you need to know is, you got a charger and they dont.

my friend has a 83 corvette stingwray with a 440 and my other friend has a nova with a 440 also, they kind of snicker at me because my 74 charger has a 318.......honestly, is haveing a 318 something to be ashamed about?

Put some 440 stickers on the hood, some flowcrappers out back, and NEVER open the hood.   If anyone wants to run you, or asks, say "sure, i got $5000 on me right now, wanna go?" (use your best poker face!!!)
