What should the timing be set at on a 73 Charger 400, 4bbl (P Code)?  I looked in the service manual and it said 7 degrees but she feels like its dragging another car behind it.  I have played around with it but I can't seem to find where it runs best.  Dist is connection to right side from front vacuum port on Edelbrock 1406 carb, should it be on the timed port (left)?

Ron/Cryco the 2 69's are gone (Unfortunetly) but I got this new toy.  I am thinking of a 470 stroker kit and heads from 440 source to drop in it.  Suggestions?

Yep, the first thing you'll have to do is set the hose onto the timed port.  A quick search should turn up a lot of timing info as that question comes up a lot..

Dave, bump up the initial to 15* and block off the vacuum advance....that'll wake it up.  :icon_smile_big:
