Well - a little update on my >cough< Road Runner...      I decided to rebuild the 4-speed just for the sake of not having anything else to do in the shop...      Turns out someone had recently replace the shift forks and syncros...     they have NO wear on them...    sweet...      Only one synchro needs to be replaced...     turns out the front bearing took a dive (why the car was parked a while ago be the previous owner) -  the cage that holds the 8 balls was in the bottom of the tranny case...      yay...         Anyway - I'll be putting this pig back together tonight  (real mopar guys build 4-speed on a friday night instead of going out to the bar i guess)    - I'll give ya'll some pics of it when she is done...      This should be good behind that stroker with that 308 duration cam in it  :icon_smile_big:

Well...    i forgot to take alot of pictures...      but as far as suggestions -  here goes

1. Passon Performance sells complete rebuild kits - highly suggested for sake of getting Everything you need
2. Disassembling is easy - no real need to go into detail here
3. Snap rings can be a pain in the ass...    but take your time and they will come out
4. INDEX the Synchros...
5. Needle Bearings are a pain in the ass...   most frustrating part of building one...
6. Shop press needed to install front and rear bearings

anything else you wanna know just ask

The FSM will provide all the info you need.   Mopar Muscle magazine had 2 issues that gave step by step instructions with pics.   One was March 2004 and the other was June 2006.   If you have those old issues, they will be excellent resources for your rebuild.
