I remember the morning of September 11th, watching it all on the news.  It was surreal.  Something so obviously historic happening right in front of my eyes.  It made me think of JFK's assassination, the moon landing, etc.

As one of the towers fell, I remember having the distinct thought:

Within my lifetime, sombody will probably be publishing a conspiracy book claiming that this whole event never really happened.

I didn't have that thought right then, but it did cross my mind a month or so later. It's pretty stupid that some people go to such lengths to try & prove that there's a conspiracy behind everything that happens. ::) Instead, they should focus all that energy into fine tuning future teleportation and force field technology. :D

The JFK assassination, of course there was a conspiracy, probably multiple ones...but 911 & the moon landings? Gimme a break. I bet there's conspiracy theories behind the California quakes of the last decade, too & other such disasters. :rotz:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I used to get all the conspiracy theorists at my old job on the city desk, there are a lot here locally, (C.T.s) and i kept a file of the best mail and fax submissions, some folks were very much into trying to document their suspicions, and they were the best and most interesting. The phone calls were just strange and often came from the mental wards in detention facilities...
but the folks who were trying to alert the "media" to perceived "facts" were actually quite interesting and sometimes compelling even if somewhat less then plausible,..
There was one guy who would have his wife stand in a tub and then cut her with razors and send in the photos taken at some unspecified
hotel, trying desperately to draw attention to the fraud that ruined his life, the short story was that while he was having a home built all his possessions were stolen from storage which ruined their lives, then lawyers riped off his remaining funds and they lost everything and were reduced to living out of their van. That's just one story, there were many many more like that...
There was also a guy hiding in Puerto Rico from the NYC mob. He who tried to intrest anyone in his tale of corruption Re: the NYC school contracts...
There are no shortage lots of swindles, fraud and corruption driving everyday people to extraordinary efforts to find vindication which are  quite different from the 51/50s. aka kooks and crackpots.
- then there are all the UFO, Modtop and Big Foot "enthusiasts".  :yesnod:

There actually is quite alot of stuff on the theory that they did kill a bunch of people off.

Which I think takes it to far.

And I agree what possibly to many people where involved to fake it.

But then again how many people would have to know?

The pilots for obvious reasons.

You set up the "test" and practice site in a building that just happens to take good pictures.

And a lone photographer and 2 actors and a couple hands take the shots.

And for what thats worth you dont even have to tell them what its for.

So you could prolly keep it down to 10 or 20 people.

Give them the ole Pride, honor and protecting the american way speech.

And how they could save the world from nuclear war buy taking this to their grave.

Tell them that it was in their familys best interest that they didnt talk.

And give em a nice bonus for every year they where quite.

Fear, money, pride and "doing the right thing" have heavy binds on us.

And really even if they talked who would believe them?

I think it didnt happen.

But even I would die with a secret like this if I though it served a much higher purpose.
