Long time Bruce Springsteen E-street keyboardist Dan Federici lost his 3 year fight with melanoma yesterday, at only 58 years old. It's a big loss for Springsteen and his fans. RIP, Phantom Dan.  :engel016:

That sucks.  And the keyboard work is a vital chunk of the band's whole sound too. 


It's cheesy, but I still think their "Born to Run" album is amazing.  Listening to that album, knowing that it came from a young struggling rock band in 1976 . . . it really rams home how laughable most of mainstream modern rock bands have become.  Being hip & catchy is a pathetic substitute for being truly creative.
