The picture is of a 70 R/T. But there is no sway bar which was factory on every R/T. Is just the sway bar missing or did somebody replace the whole front end?

Charger_Fan

Looks to me like it's just missing. I see lower control arm brackets for the sway bar links & the brace on the K-frame, so it looks like it originally had one. If the car has it's build sheet, you can check for code# S31 to make double sure.

Here's one complete...

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Dodge Don

Missing. Should be one on a 70.

Was it a former drag car?

Actually I don't know but it doesn't have the Track Package.

Ghoste

Track Package wouldn't necessarily mean a drag car but I was thinking that a former owner might have been using it just for drag racing and so removed the sway bar.  For that matter, a lot of misguided street racers removed sway bars too but unless they were really hardcore, the same sway bars usually went back on the car as soon as the guy did much real life driving without one.

Thanks Ghoste! The current owner told me that the previous owner rebuilt the engine but unfortunately he doesn't have any specs on it - except that the engine is strong (a chain is welded to the frame to keep the engine from tearing the motor mounts). Maybe that's the reason why the previous owner removed the sway bar...
