Hi!

I wonder if this is the correct spare tire for an early 1968 Dodge. This is out of a Coronet built in March '68 - I don't know at which plant.

I need to know it because I'd like to use the tread of it for a graphic-project.

If it's not correct, does anybody have an original tire and maybe even pictures of the tread?

THANK YOU!

I couldn't tell you by looking at the tread.  You might try running that pic by Bill Alphin.  Aside from that, what is the info on the sidewall? (including mfg.)

I found out some stuff about the tire at moparts, seems like the tire shown is an 8.55x14 blackwall Goodyear tire, which was optional on wagons, tire code is 61.

And I found the tread on a reproduction tire sold by kelseytire:

This is another shot of the tire:

I have no further information on that tire, got the pictures from eBay and was only looking for info on the originality.

And I found out that the original (spare) tire(s) for my Charger should look like this:

But thank you for offering your help! I appreciate that!

My car (pic shown under screen name) has those tires only in the Firestone brand.  In case you are looking for a pic of what they would look like on a car.
