I rebuilt A 68 383 4 brl motor Auto and am putting a new Hughes,Street Master 2500 stall converter. DO I need a Balanced flex plate?

Ghoste

Do you NEED it?  Not necessarily but since you've come this far it sure isn't going to hurt.

I would upgrade to a better flexplate like the B&M unit. I've seen plenty of cracked flexplates over the years and the original is fatigued from years of use. Cheap insurance  :Twocents:

Use new ARP hardware and loctite on the bolts as well  ;)
