Being that I have hidraulic lifters, and will change from regular to metallic headgasket and mostly sure will mill down heads, How much is the limit I cam mill down the heads keeping same stock pushrods.

I have known the hidraulic lifters supports enough to be able to mill down heads and still keep stock lenght

I'm not thinking on mount rocker shaft spacers either

from what i have read in various places and my little experiance in engine building,i think you should be fine between 20-50 thousands

IMO,
.050" would be getting "up there" without a lot of checking for Lifter plunger travel remaining, ,   .020" should be OK,
anywhere in between a proportional "crapshoot".

How can I check if my pushrods have correct lenght..?
Will be mounting 915heads with the thin steelgasket.. an maybe its a good idea to check my rods at the same time..

Install the ones you have, with the rockers.  Rotate the engine by hand and watch to see where the tip of the rocker contacts the tip of the valve stem.  If it's too much on the inside, your rods are too long.

Bob or Ron should be able to provide more insight ;)

there are special pushrods whar are kinda bolts, what you mount and start to turn untill gets tight contact between rocker and tappet... then remove rocker shaft, measure the expansible pushrod and will know the one you need.

BTW, if I make a mill down head job and use the stock pushrod,  will get a tighter setup so, will I save more from valve floating at high RPMS right ?... of course afs far I keep tolerances.
