exhaust pipes size recommendation

I have a 440 HP that was bored 30 over & have Speed Pro six pack pistons for a compression of around 9.4:1 and a "1 up" cam over the stock cam on my 72 SE.  Stock exhaust is HP manifolds and 2 1/4" pipes. 

I need to replace the mufflers and am wondering should I think about a larger (2 1/2"?) exhaust pipes while I'm at it.

i'd upgrade to atleast a 2 1/2'' or 3'' exhaust system from TTI you and your engine will love it.

I would go with the 2.5 system and use a crossover pipe & a good quality strait-thru muffler (Magnaflow or Ultraflow). The crossover point to 3in exhaust is 500hp and you won't be there with that combo.
