I think I found a place to get some pretty cheap (around $200) aluminum radiators.

The only problem is his information doesnt go far enough back so we can be sure an exact match.

Anyway he has requested to buy my stock radiator so he can have it as reference.

Before I do that I want to be sure that mine is the real deal and hasnt been swapped out at some point.

It has the Chrysler Star on it.

Numbers.........

2949 054
59538

The Car is a 1969 Dodge Charger with a 440 and Auto Transmission.

Anyway I would LOVE all the information you guys have collected about Radiators.
That way I can pass it along and hopefully encourage them to do more Mopar stuff.

So what years interchange with what?
Same radiator for which engines?
Upper and lower hose sizes and placement.
Dimensions?
Pictures?

Anyway anything you have about the subject would be awesome.

Oh and they plan on doing shrouds and fan kits as well.

Anyway thanks!

Your radiator is currently on sale for about $695.00 at http://tonysparts.com/. A very much desired radiator. I would suggest that if you really want to sell it that you get somewhere near this number.   :yesnod:

According to the Chrysler Muscle Car parts interchange manual it is a 26-in wide radiator, and used in a '69 Coronet, Charger, and Belvedere with 426 Hemi, and a '69 Coronet, Charger, and Belvedere with a 383 or 440 with maximum cooling. Interchange is with radiators 2949052 (26-in wide) and 2949055 (26-in wide).   :icon_smile_wink:

What is the problem with your current radiator? If it is not cooling like it should perhaps look to have it re-cored/re-conditioned. As far as dimensions perhaps someone else will chime in.   :P

I live in Southern California and it doesnt cool the car very well.

And I think im going to add AC to the car which is only going to make it worse.

I'd have a reputable radiator shop look at it, and see what can be done to make it work correctly. And add a shroud if it does not already have one. Have you done a search on radiators here? Should be a lot of information regarding types, efficiencies, materials, etc.  :2thumbs:
