People with 68-70 Rocker molding...help

Can I get a photo of the front and rear mount screws.

I know about the plastic clips but  not sure about the ends...is it simple a sheet metal screw screwed into the body or is it more elaborate?

  On an original set of rocker moldings on 69's,there is only one screw,and it is at the back near the rear tire,the hole is tapered in for the phillips screw to seat into.The repo moldings do not have any holes for screws.I can get you a pic,but not until mon night.

Heres a pic of the rear screw (not mine though)   I have the repro's with no screw hole in the rear...

Well plan was to use the aftermarket ones (buy them at Carlise) so will all I need is the center clips? wouldn't the end flop around?

It shouldn't. The repro moldings are pretty much designed to go on with the clips only, hence no hole. My car never had them, I simply drilled the holes spaced out for the clips the length of the molding.

If you really want the sheetmetal screw holding on the rear of the molding, you could always drill a 1/8" hole in the trim & use a countersink tool to make the dimple for the sheetmetal screw.

I did the same to mine.....no flopping at the ends on mine :thumbs:

Great news, thanks guys! I only have about 5 days out of the year to work on my '70 when we come down for Carlisle so want to be smart. The car had the molding originally and the holes are there, I simple "plugged" them with plastic trim caps, so I'll just pop 'em out and stick on the molding at the show...splendid!
