I'd be looking for a 4-speed 69 1/2 Super Bee or a 70-71 340 shaker Cuda'.    :yesnod:  Unfortunately for me to get $50,000 I'd probably have to be pointing the gun at someone elses head.  :rotz:  tipopiola

cruisin around e-bay i saw this and thought it looks pretty good,.. i don't know much about cars so i'll allow these here other fellows to pick it to pieces...  :D
i know the 400 is reputed to be a boat anchor but for your budget you could turn it into a terror with a stroker upgrade...
  just a thought...

As many 1968-9 Chargers as I could. I don't care about engine sizes or if they even have engines in them.

I think I saw at least 2 cars mentioned that are definately not available for $50K anywhere you look. The aforementioned project Daytona, and the other comment of a HEMI 68 Charger. Even in project form, your looking at more than $50K 999 times out of a 1000.
i agree unless they are talking about clone's  ?

1. I'll take a clone

2. No one said I have to buy it right this second, I'm a fairly patient person. I'll find one.

3. everyones raining on my parade :(

2. He didn't say you had to buy it right this second, but he did say withing 24 hours. Can't be that patient if you only have 24 hours.

o.k...then can an AMC count?

451, 470, 500, 512 are the common stroked displacements... 440source has the kits and is a good source for the specs....

correct me if I'm rong runninghorn,..

But i been seein you trying out alot of various third gens for size and i suspect (though it's far more likely i've forgotten) your hoping to buy a super nice charger after getting the seal of approval from knowlagable members here...
It's great that you didn't rush into buying the first charger to strike your fancy, and now it seems prices are abit depressed and some nice cars are for sale cheaper then they might have been, say, 18 Mos. ago.
I just thought,.. thunk?.. you have had your heart set on a third gen... I'm not sure your favorite color combo or model or even year,..
But it seems to me, you don't have to spend your entire budget to get a kick ass charger,...
But i dunno, your question opening this thread reads to me like one of those "I got this friend of a friend and they"...
So this, blue SE up there appeals to me. it looks like a decent charger and is pretty rare being a s.e and all, seems pretty cheap too, not costing an arm and a leg like an earlier R/T. and what I've heard about stock 400 C.I. motors are they ain't no great shakes unless they've been massaged and a stroker really turns them into a potent power plant...
So my reasoning is/was... buy this blue SE and spent a few more bucks on the motor if you feel you want/need more torque..
And have some money left over...
