With the pad under the hood, I don't think those hood scoops are functional.

Also wonder what it would look like with some more chrome.... like chrome rocker panels, chrome trim around the windows, wheel arches, and tail panel. Kind of lame how they don't put much if any chrome on new cars anymore. Not to mention the lack of any hardtops, as one of the most enjoyable things in the old cars is to drive around with all the windows down.

Black is nice though...

Creed's fault ? a nerd wanting to give a ride to his partners, so needed 4 doors
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

They (DCX)allways said they wouldn't build a car unless it would sell 100,000 units and a two door isn't expected to reach that figure,..
although that may make sense finacially, they still need a halo car to draw folks into the show room and to rub off on the more pedestrian models...
What then plans are for the future as regards the challanger and charger? I suspect alot of various models and tape variations. like the daytona superbee and such. Chally T/A S.E. I just hope they dont go back to a Vynal top after seeing the photoshop,.. YUCK..  :icon_smile_dissapprove:
I'm curious what a 6 cly four speed neo-chally will weigh and cost when it debuts in a couple years. a six cly six-speed convertable would be sweet.
:scratchchin: I still don't under stand why a 6 inch shorter LX weighs so freakin much,.. i thought it would lose 300 Lbs. not gain weight...  :shruggy:

Maybe this has already been addressed... I stopped by the Dodge dealer to see about the Challenger and they said they are going to be limited in production (SRT 6.1 HEMI) to start with. Not sure this is true or not. They said the starting price is going to be in the 60,000.00 range. That just sucks. Then after the mystique has been built then with the pent up demand they will release it to the masses in '09 or '10. Has anyone else heard this?

yep, i guess you missed the previous 25 threads...
welcome back where ya been?..

The dodge dealers don't know anything. I used to stop by my local one and they had no idea what was going on, I found out I knew more than they did about upcoming models and what not just by perusing the internet.

The average enthusiast has always known more than the average dealer, that's why Mr. Norm was able to make an entire operation out of selling performance cars but other places wouldn't even sell one.  Not much has changed.   The great bulk of the population walking onto the lots really does want the kind of cars that Trevor Creed blindly insisted we all wanted.  The difference is that while most of the people may know the names on the tape stripes, the folks who care about those names will do a lot more research than average retail values, safety guides, consumer reports, and comparisons to the media Japanese darling of the moment.
