Anyone know where I can get an Engine dolley/Cart?

My 440 is almost finished but my charger isn't near being ready. The engine is going to sit for awhile, but I don't want it on the engine stand for a long time (plus my 383 is still on the engine stand). I looked at ebay and summit racing for an engine dolley but didn't find one for a 440. Found one universal, but I"m not sure about those.


Anyone know where I can get one that the 440 will fit on?

check out summit racing, they make one designed for big block mopars, works great.

I got one at Northern Tool.  Sure does look like the ones at Summit based on the pictures.  Wasn't worth a toot.  Couldn't handle the weight of the 440.  Surely someone makes a decent one.  Another option would be to weld one up out of square tubing and get your own GOOD casters.

I used a cheap universal and went to move the engine and it collapsed and fell.   Find a good one and let us know how it is.  I will need another

Just ordered the engine stand (finally had the spare change). I'll let you know if it was worth the money when I get it.

I took an old shopping cart and cut the basket off of it, it works pretty good but it leaves rubber marks on the garage floor.

Engine Dolley came in today. It didn't come with any instructions on how to put it together. I know, I know... it's not rocket science and it was easy to figure out, but I'm kind of anal about things like that. No biggie though. Engine isn't ready yet so I haven't put it on the dolley, but I will soon. Hopefully.


I need to get some large width wrapping plastic to wrap the engine up afterwards. Don't want any freakin' mice and roaches crawling into it.
