I have a friend who is going to sell me his 74 440 and 727 out of his motorhome.  Is it possible to put the engine and tranny in a 1969 coronet with a 318 and 904?  How much work would be involved and how much would it cost? Thanks for any help!

The motor should work if it doesn't have the water pump bolted to the heads.

The transmission might be the short tail type with a brake drum, it won't fit a passenger car unless the tail is changed.

Everything is a bolt-in since the 440/727 was installed in '69 B bodies, you just need the correct mounts. The rear end is probably a 7 1/4", it needs to be changed too.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
