I have a 318, that is a TOTAL DOG. :brickwall: it cant even get out of its own way. I know the carb needs rebuilt, (never done, since new in '74). Should i bother? or should i go straight to a 4bbl? :D I was told that even with a 2bbl a charger will spin the tires. Mine just oozes and creeps off the line, and stalls if i push the pedal too fast. I tried tuning it with a vacuum gauge, only to find that neither of the idle screws did anything. :brickwall:

if you are going to spend the money on a 318, at least do a compression test make make sure it is worth doing. if the cylinders are good, i'd at least do a cam and intake swap. plus a fresh timing chain.
