$15, to $20,000, maybe. But that is my opinion.

$12-15K. Lose the wheels and the silly painted bumpers, would be worth more, IMHO.

A pistol grip 3rd gen would be nice.  :drool5:I like this one more. :Twocents:

whats wrong with the wheels...i don't care for the colored bumpers either, but i like the wheels!
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

You'll have to look at that Charger up close.  Its almost identical to the Rallye Red '72 I had (see sig pic).  If this is the same car I'm thinking about.... when I last saw it, she needed much TLC and detailing work.  For comparision, I sold my Charger Rallye for 15,500 in 2003.  It had lots of detail, rust-free, #'s matching, documentation, date coding, and NOS parts. I think my old Charger would have been worth well over $25K in todays market.  :scratchchin:

ACUDANUT

IMO, its worth more than that.  71-72 Charger R/T's and Rallyes have thee best of everything and are getting hard to find.

mikesbbody

its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. What people ask for and what they get are usually two completely different things.

Nacho-RT74

Ok if you have the money why wait for our opinion for the 71 R/T ? GOOOO FOR IT!

On equipment options only diff is the rear speaker on Rallye and 3 speeds wipers on R/T. Beside the fact of course we are talking about is an R/T. With tuff wheel!

yea I like it alot (R/T) but being a non-#'s R/T, is that a good price? Is it in decent condition? or should I keep looking for an R/T in that price range?

Nacho-RT74

matching R/Ts run NOTICEABLE HIGHER on these days. I have seen then on $40-45. As far Is an Original R/T, on these days, the non matching engine is not that important, unless you want for trailer queen on shows.

I'm detailing every pic, and does look something weird around parking lights.

The houndstooth interior is a good add on value.

Does have A/C just removed compressor... I would mount it back!

Also has the overdrive link loosen from carb stud.

Remember my opinion is outside USA, so I'm based what I have seen on the web

Tufcat is being kind... this car needs restoration.  I know the car well - the previous owner was a friend of mine.  It has an awesome combo, but it is rough.  The pics are hiding a lot of issues. I always recommend getting a set of eyes on a car before you buy it.

Thanks.... I'm glad you said that!! - -  (I'm working on being "kindler and gentler") these days   The ad said "Recent Body-Up Restoration"  ...whatever the hell that means.  :shruggy:

Besides the obvious (not being rude), I really don't remember all the details on this car so I didn't post them, but suffice to say 1972Rallye has a very good point! It always better to see a car up close before laying down the cash.

I bought two '67 Coronets sight unseen....one was a big loser... the other , a BIG winner.  But I still won't take the 50% odds :icon_smile_wink:

Too many cars in one thread  ;)  Actually, I was speaking of the red 440 4-speed Rallye ( I thought Tufcat was too - but he wasn't)...  have not seen the orange 340 car in person.  Sorry for the confusion. I have pics of the red car's engine compartment if you need them.

TUFCAT

Yep - too many cars.  :D  I think we need to start labeling them :icon_smile_wink:  By the way, the first car pictured (the 340 Rallye at the top) was not the one I thought I had seen before.  :shruggy:

Goldfinger71

Runninghorn,

Check out sunroofgtx's thread on moparts.com about the 71 R/T Ebay listing. It used to be his car and it had a number of issues including rusted through framerails! :o

He also put up a few pics over there. You may want to check the thread out!

I remember that car being for sale not too long ago on Moparts and it was for a fair price...it was a fair price for a reason! :yesnod:
