Was this the same one that a member had a while back?  Looks like it's in decent shape, but the guy wants wayyy too much.  Wasn't everyone thinking it was a 1 of 1 custom emblem?

:scratchchin: Interesting. I would guess it is, but you never know.

Different car - that makes possibly the third one that's been discussed here. However, I can't imagine it bringing $30k without some serious documentation (and desirability).

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

twilt

Interesting....yes
Of any particular extra value.....I think not.
Basically just a $1000 car than can be had for $30,000

I might feel differently if it was a 72 Pittsburgh Steelers Charger.

Well, at least the guy had the forethought to not cut it up for his prostreet project. Maybe he accidentally bumped in an extra zero when he made his ad?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

terrible one

That's interesting. I thought that one our member had was the only one, but it definitely adds to my curiosity to see another. I wish someone could find at least a little documentation pertaining to these cars. As for the price. . .  :slap:

This is the same car that had a very small article about it in a magazine, Readers Rides or Questions colum or something about 5+ years ago. Then mine poped up 2 years ago. Mines legite. Coincedently when this guy compared his VIN # & VON# it was only 1 digit off from mine meaning this car rolled down the assembly line right behind my car. The Fender tag is almost Identical to mine except his has AC & mine dont. I talked to Jeff Warner the 68 bengal authority on these cars & he was aware of this car & now mine so these 2 are the only 2 known to exist. I know TWILT could give a damn but I know Galen Govier about Sh*t his pants when I showed him my Bengal Fender emblem at a local Mopar show & had to run for his Digital Camera for a Picture of such emblem saying he's never seen such a thing. He had zero or not much knowledge on these 72 Bengals. LEON.

A friend of mine is a Bengals fan & said the Bengals went to the Super bowl or some championship win in 72 which is probably why Tom Kneers Dealership decided to commerate these Bengals with a car again just like he did in 68. Just my :Twocents: :shruggy: LEON.

Bengals were 4-10 in 71, finished 4th in their division in 71
8-6 in 72   finsihed 3rd in their division in 72
Kind of blows that theory out the window.

Don`t get me wrong Leon, I find the whole thing interesting. I do not doubt that the cars are real. However, I just don`t think that painting a car orange and putting a Bengal emblem on it
in anyway makes it desirable or any more valuable.  This 30k car looks like a el cheapo stripped down base model.

hemi-hampton

Everybody entitled to their opinion. Thats fine. Some like it & some dont. Funny, How the bengal is worth nothing but then the Toy Company made a 1/24 scale metal replica of the 68. Why would they do that on a worthless car nobody would buy? Now I think they need to make a Metal model replica of the 72 to go with it.  Especially with my cool looking hood. Just my opinion. :Twocents: :slap: LEON.

JimShine

Has anyone tried asking the dealership what the deal was?

TUFCAT

The car is great find! ...and a rare piece of mopar history. Unfortunately, the exposure has been so limited on 1972's. Right now nowbody knows how valuable they are - - or how valuable they'll become in the future?.....now let's see......Where did I put that magic eight ball?  :icon_smile_big:
