Here are a couple pics of my merry Christmas. the S&W 500 with handloads ranging from a light 370 grain up to a 700 grain bullet, 44 mag with 300 grain fmj sits beside the 500 with 700 grain for comparison. Other gun is a Ruger 10/22 modified to look like a Thompson 1928, close as I can get to owning a real Thompson here in california. Merry Christmas to me ;D, like cars you can never have to much power  :2thumbs:

Nice looking pieces you got there.

Side note, what race track is that that is under the guns? Being a chrysler man I'm assuming its the new Richard Petty race track that Carrera has out on the market with the Superbird and the Talladega?

I have a 460 S&W magnum, It fires the 460, 454 casull and a 45 colt.. With a 200 gr. bullet the 460 shoot 2300 ft/sec from the 8   3/8'' barrel..  Very versitile :yesnod:

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

The race set is carreras winged warriors set with a Daytona and a superbird, have a few more old sets from dodge  with a 69 charger, 69 road runner and a 57 dodge sweptside truck.
The 460 is a good gun but if you look at the diameter of the 45LC and the 454 its a few thousands smaller than the 460 and they wont shoot good at long ranges.
I do all my own reloading and either the 460 or the 500 are perfect to make hot loads for as the cylinders have been tested to 91,000psi and that only caused a split in the cylinder and it still functioned. The 700 grainer I have loaded goes out the 4 inch(actally3) barrel at just over 1100fps and only makes 48,00psi and ive got 400 grain bullets lead gas checks going over 1700fps, not bad for only having 3 inches. best out of my 44 is a little over 1600fps with a 320 grain lead gas check bullet.  still waiting for the ok from the Dr to get back on my Daytona project but its fun to play with my toys till then.

Actually the bullets are  .452 dia  for all three 45LC 454Casull and the 460.. They make .452  .451 for the 45LC and even a .454 in a lead casted bullet for the 45LC according to the newest version of hornady's reloading manual. Those 2 guns are the best revolvers ever made, I love my 460, to bad last year i missed the biggest buck of my life with it :brickwall: but that was my fault, not the guns. I hunt with open iron sights, I have gotten a few groundhogs with it though it  really makes a mess of things.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.
