  My friend George with the 572 hemi was chatting about taking it down to inspect and possibly / probably swap to a roller cam.   He had schubeck problems before and he thinks he has another lifter going away now.
Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

Damn....those composite lifters were supposed to be the miracle cure for wiped out flat tappet cams.  :flame:

I was looking at a set of those for my next build but it looks like the Howards EDM cold face tappets are the best option now !  :P

the funny thing about this is that shubeck's lifters were the "hottest" thing and everyone promoted them (even those that never used them)...

I wonder what dynamics are going on to cause his departure from the scene... you know there is a bigger story to this, somewhere.
