freeze plug in the block?

while spinning my engine on the stand I heard a wierd noise, I looked inside the water jacket and saw a freeze plug.
It was probably left in there when the new ones were put in, will it create any problems if I leave it?

No, but if you can see it remove it. A simple pair of channel locks and it will come out.
