Trying to guage interest here. My brother and i are thinking bout starting a 3rd gen registery since he has to design a webpage for one of his highschool tech classes.  this registery will be totally free to put your vehicle on.  no membership dues or fees will be collected. If we are to do this, it will require a description of the vehicle(one will not have to give out the VIN) and a photo of the car.  Description required would be se/rt/ralleye, orginal motor/trans, current motor and trans, and of course color.  Names and Addresses will not be posted or gather either.  Photos will be required to be of your own. Main purpose of this registery is to provide an accurate number of third gen chargers still in exsistance.

let me know what you think

Depends on if this gathered data would be available for everyone or if it's going to be a kept big secret just for your personal use. Been through this scenario before. If you list on the site totals of the different models, engines , etc. then ok. But if you keep all this data for yourself then no.  :Twocents:

no this information is for EVERYONE. I know what you mean hemihead, i can assure you that this information and the site will be open to anyone no matter whether they have one or not.  This is a hobby where i think everyone tht wants to should partake.
The site will show the picture of the vehicle with the description given by the owner right next to it.  im leaving personal info like VINs and names out for security reasons. dont want anybody's charger getting stolen or anything

:Twocents: I used to be a second administrator of the one that used to exist. It is a LOT harder than you think. Not everyone likes the idea, Some people hate that idea and refuse to give needed info to register the car correctly. I never liked running the registry part of it anyway. But when the original own disappeared, I tried it out. I hated it. It was to time consuming for me. That is when I started my Third Gen site. And it is slowly taking off pretty decent. Gotta remember too, that there is a lot more second gen fans then third gen fans. And there already is a registry site for Charger Super Bees.

Then again, there are a lot more 3rd gen fans than 1st gen fans and Fastback Jon seems to be able to keep a good registry going.  There are also more 68 fans than any other year and they can't seem to keep one going so I wouldn't worry about the number of people into them too much.  It's hard work but it's also needed work, go for it.

I'd be willing to join it as long as it's done the way some of the others here have suggested.
