I got these in an e-mail today, pretty interesting.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Dont look too bad for having slid along sideways with the weight of an airplane on them

Why is there snow/ice built up around the wheels in those pics?

I think that was a pic of a different instance.......the news reported there were a few others like the most recent one....just not as publicized

I agree with this dude. The guy looks like he's freezing.

BTW, was there a lake next to the runway? I can't remember.

Troy

Those are older pics - possibly from the accident in New York or one in Chicago? The name of the plane is different which is the easiest clue... :D

The most recent one is identified as N536JB and is named "Canyon Blue." The one in those pictures is "Bluebird" and the numbers on the gear doors are "503".

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

That figures, I've been duped by yet another e-mail sent my way. :brickwall: I guess it's a good thing I never said WHICH Jet Blue plane!

So, do you guys remember hearing about any of the previous landing gear incidents? The one in California was the first one I recall hearing about.
I don't watch half as much TV news as I used to, but still. :ahum:
