Goody is a kid who has a yellow barracuda, lots of people don't like him either because of jealousy or the fact that at times he has a superiority complex. im sure there are more reasons but these are the ones I know.

And yea, that Challenger. Ive liked a few cars they have done on Overhaulin' such as the blue Boss 302 Mustang. I like that Challenger except the roof stripe is ugly...never liked it, never will. :Twocents:

The reason why the car was not returned right after the show is that the cars are shipped to another shop where they are partically dismantled and inspected to make sure they were put together correctly. This is what Goody said when they were discussing his Dad's car after the overhauling episode on moparts.

what did you think of the work you saw on the car larry ??? quality wise ???

Actually, the car looked pretty good on the set. The problems come later when the bodywork starts to shrink. When that happens, you usually get a lot of sand scratch swelling and bullseyes under the finish. Whenever possible, I let my resto work sit for at least a month before final sanding. When I have just a few small repairs to make, I'll use Industro-Weld (JB Weld) to make the repairs instead of polyester fillers. Once it sets overnight, Industro Weld has shrunk as much as it's going to shrink...ever. Then I just grind it level and use a final glaze over it before priming with polyester primer. I've started using polyester primers in the last couple of years since urethane primers tend to absord too much solvents during the sealing, basecoating and clearcoat processes. That solvent buildup leads to solvent popping, dieback and shrinkage. I never ever use lacquer primer.
We were also on the set in 2004 when they built the Gambler Mustang and it didn't look all that great. The paint died back and they probably had to buff it out later. They almost didn't make the deadline on that build and the paintwork suffered as a result. We didn't hang around all day on the final build day since we had to catch a flight home. They may have buffed it out before revealing the car to the owner.
I don't care how great the builders and painters are, there are certain problems that they can't overcome.
it's great to get that insight from your body experience  thanks

More than likely the celebrities are the only ones who can afford to pay the tax bill when IRS comes a calling. Not so great for someone to have a car all their lives, get it Blunderhauled and then are forced to sell it to pay taxes on the work done. Nice go guys! :icon_smile_big:

well...... i sent goody a few im in the past with no response..... i actually dont know how to take that. kinda annoying. well i think there is allot wrong with the car. but can be easily corrected.first the stance is all wrong for the car. once corrected the car will look allot better and another is the stripe on the roof and the orange on the bottom, it doesnt add to the cars body lines as a matter of opinion i think your eye picks up on that and ruins the entire image of it. and lastly the offset on the rear wheels are all wrong. but its all a matter of style. its not mine.
