Well some of you may have seen the thread about my 83 Dodge knocking and I was going to get another 500.00 car but I found this and had to get it! its a 1979 International Scout Traveler! Its rare too! The Interior is awesome and near mint! AC. cruise, Stock Scout rims, luggage rack, disc front, auto and locking hubs, 4x4, REMOVABLE TOP! Here is the best part! 345 less then 5000 miles on it! .030 over, flat tops, new starter, dist, alt, water pump, radiator, new torque converter. Dana differentials, Dana transfer case! New tires, new brakes, Sony deck and alpine speakers. my Boss did the motor so I know it was done right! And may friend/co worker owned it, he got it from his dad! The truck is real solid, some rust behind the doors but it looks like an ez fix! I cant wait to restore it! So anyone wanna guess what I paid for it? He had $2200 into the motor alone, and thats with my boss doing the work at cost! IT IS SO MUCH FUN TO DRIVE  AND BUILT LIKE A TANK!

Nice looking Scout. My father in law worked for IH for years. If I am not mistaken, he personally drove the very first Scout off the assembly line back in the early 60's. Nice find.  :2thumbs:

Back in the 70's, my uncle had one of the small scouts like this.........

Well I sold the 83 today for $100.00 and a cool old international emblem so all and all it worked out! The Scout runs GREAT! It is leaking from the petcock so I will have to drop the coolant and replace that when I get the time! But I am happy! FYI I paid 2500.00 for it! ;D
