My 68 will have a 2007 Hemi with a 6-speed.

I found the Hemi, now do I get a truck 6-speed or an aftermarket?

:scratchchin: I would think the truck trans would have to low a gear.

As far as I know the Tremec 5spds are better ideas for a 2nd-gen Charger.  Strong, bolt-in w/o any cutting, easily available, has an overdrive top gear, etc.

The only viable 6spd is the Richmond one, but there's no way to install that one into a B-body without major chopping on the car.  The Richmond has been put into '69 Chargers before, but not easily (and certainly not very often since the Tremec option became available).  The Richmond case doesn't just hit in a few specific locations; the entire case is literally too big for the B-body's center tunnel.  Even the tranny crossmember has to be severely hacked to fit things in.

I'll go with the 5-speed then Mike.

Does anyone make the right K to fit a 6.1 to a B-body?

correct K-member ?   no...     You can however contact TTI and purchase their motor mounts that will bolt a 6.1 to your existing K-member - while you're on the phone with them order a set of their headers    :2thumbs:

I hope to see all they have for the B-bodys, and then report back here with everything I saw; with pictures too.
