Hey guys -

Thought I would go ahead and post some pics from this weekend. This gathering takes place at a place called the OBI Parking lot off of Ocean Parkway on the south shore of Long Island every Sunday morning - there are cars here you NEVER see at any show - for instance, how many Lamborghini Countach's have you seen parked right next to a #'s matching 429 4-speed Torino or maybe a 246 Ferrari Dino parked right behind a few 30's RatRods... This is to my knowledge the BEST non-sanctioned get together anywhere.

Cheers gents - enjoys the pics

The two Darts - the green and purple ones are simply EVIL :icon_smile_evil: They are both G-machine/pro-touring style cars are are not only EXTREMELY quick but will embarrase most anything this side of a new Corvette. I wouldn't have believed it if I had not seen them myself - everything on these cars was purpose built and fully functional - looking great is just a side effect of good engineering on the owners part.

I was going to make it Mike, but had a work weekend with the hunting club upstate in the Catskill. I think my next door neighbor was going to attend. He has a Teal colored number matching 1971 Cuda 440 six pack with shaker hood.

Guess what I found in the woods off the road in one of the properties we lease for hunting?........

A 1983 Dodge Shelby Charger!! Abandoned. No plates with a broken windshield. Did not have my camera with me, but next time I go up there I'll take a pictures. I'm not a big fan of them, but they have to be worth something, right?

Hey Mike (NYCMille)! I just realized that some of those pictures were taken in Cedar Beach Marina. I go there with my boat. How did you end up there??

Great pics!
Definitely a nice blend of neat stuff to drool on. :drool5: (except the Gremlin :icon_smile_big:)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

NYCMille

We left OBI, headed west and just pulled into the first open lot - we just wanted to get some pics of the 2 Darts and the Charger together - I had no idea it was Cedar Beach?!? go figure.

first of all that yellow ferrari is a 275 Dino Targa. a V-8 engined road car from 1970.
then the later model red one with all the decals is a Spec racer. they have a race series for that one, they are all done the same way and race several times a yr. & no,.. it's not a poor boys sport.   :rotz:

I'm pretty sure the purple one is Moparts member G-Machine's (or some similar name) car, not sure about the green one. Some neat pics, thanks for sharing!

Nice pics  that green dart is sweet. :2thumbs: What is that guy doing looking for a dime? :icon_smile_question:
