I'm confused about the radio and reverse light connection?

I see on my wiring diagram for a 69 charger that the fuse for the radio also controls the reverse lights.  However when I follow the wire from the radio (X12-18R) to the fuse I don't see where the reverse lights are connected to this wire, yet the diagram tells me they share this wire.  I see no other wires coming off the diagram from the fuse panel showing where the reverse light wire goes.  :shruggy:

Am I reading the diagram incorrectly?

Does the radio wire need to be connected to complete a circuit for the reverse lights?

The wire for the radio does go to the fuse block...    however wire B1-18W does T off - but i believe this happens where the harness is taped up - all this wire does is supply 12V to the reverse light track so when the switch is depressed, it goes to ground, completing a circuit and therfore making the lights light up...

No, the back up lamp wire goes to Radio just because is spliced from that plug/terminal, at least on diagram. Uses same power/fuse source. You don't need the radio to get power there.

Power doesn't go to ground. Ground is a diff function on NSS and just feed the starter relay to close circuit at P or N.

route is on this way:
Fuse------Radio power plug/terminal ( red wire )------spliced and running to bulkhead ( becoming on white )------makes the tranny harness up NSS like an input power ( becoming violet )----NSS plug turns on just on Reverse, is the output ( becoming black )---- makes the bulhead ( becoming white traced black )--- arrves to body side plug harness on kick panel and runs up to rear lights ( becoming violet )
