I'm trying to adjust the door latch (striker), so the body lines are correct. When i finally get the door lined up i can pull on it slightly and it opens about 1/2 inch. Adjust it again and the body lines are in too far,but no play in the door.I have been playing with and no luck, whats the secret? :shruggy:

Trial and error.  That is what I had to do to get mine like that.

Have you tried to rotate the Striker not just move it in and out? And if you have all new door gasket just close it for a day or two and go back and readjust.

Should i adjust the striker on the door or the latch mechanism on the body itself?

Theres no adjustment on the door, just the striker on on the door frame moves.
