it's always the second weekend in August

Yeah, I asked the same question on Moparts and got the same answer and I should have been clearer with the original question.  I was looking at the calender for next year and noted that the second weekend happens after one wekk week and for some reason I had this notion that that confusion had occured before.  This made me wonder if it was the second weekend after two full weeks, or the second weekend proper?  Anyway, the answer seems to be the second weekend proper.

The Event Brochure from this year had the following info:

2008 MOPAR NATIONALS

You know, I tried reserving a room this year in Heath on Friday Night (August 10th) for NEXT YEARS show, and they were already booked full.

That answered my question. I was curious if is was going to be at that crap hole in Columbus again  , or if they were going to move it to a place with actual indoor plumbing like Indy or Joliet  .

There were some interesting threads about location on Moparts.  After reading some of them, I can't see it moving anytime soon.

I actually liked it when it was in Indy in 95 and 96.
