Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

MOPARHOUND!

A term referring to cutomizing a muscle car.  Many came with skinny tires with steel rims from the factory, radios that left something to be desired, etc. etc.

Guys would get their new muscle car home and immediately begin customizing it to their tastes.  Bigger tires, aftermarket rims, aftermarket AM/FM radios, custom stripes or pinstripes, air shocks, longer rear leaf spring shackles, bench seats were tossed for whatever buckets would bolt in, sometimes hood scoops were added, chrome air cleaners, etc., etc.

Thus, an original car would be the "Day 1 Look", and the customized car would be the "Day 2 Look".  The "Day 2 Look" was popular throughout the 70's and 80's, then the trend became going back to original in the 90's.  All a matter of personal taste or preference, no right or wrong about it necessarily.
