The Ernie Derr Charger status?

A few years back when the Ernie Derr dirt tracker was making the show circuit, there was talk of it being restored.  As I recall, Ernie's condition on selling the car was that it be restored to an as new, never raced condition.  I believe most people in the hobby were pressuring to see the car maintained in it's last raced state.
Anyone know where the car stands today?

You might try asking Doug Schellinger, prez of the Daytona/Superbird Auto Club.  He keeps tabs on some of the race cars from that era.  If he doesn't know, he might know who to ask that does.

I rather see it dented up with the dirt still sticking to it from it's last battle......................if it's all fixed up it could be any ole Charger. It would be like washing the history off the car.
